Nova Express Cafe, Los Angeles 1993-2008
Joe Ragusa just gave me the terrible news that Nova Express Cafe has closed down. Nova was located on Fairfax just across the street from Canter’s Deli. There were so many reasons why it was fun to go to Nova. The pizza was excellent, the decor was voodoo science fiction, and the place didn’t close until 4am. I went there several times during my last year in LA. They had just started to serve beer and wine as well. This is the end of a happy era. It is beyond sad to see this place pass. LINK

OMG the tears are rolling. Me and Strange started frequenting this awesome place that you introduced me to. I guess our “frequenting” it 3 or 4 times a year was not enough :~~( I feel like an awesome piece of LA just died.

Very sad state of things happening on Fairfax. I had meant to tell you this had happened but It slipped what is left of my mind. we had many a good time at Nova and it will truly be missed.
